If you are using a mobile device and visiting my site via a link on Facebook you may find that you are unable to register or login in order to leave comments. This is due to Facebook opening links in their own browser which is riddled with problems.

In order to avoid this you have two options...

​

Firstly, once the page has opened you can click the 3 little dots in the top right and select the 'Open in Chrome' or 'Open in Safari' option. Then you can login/register. The downside to this is that you have to do it every time and, if you are an iPhone user, this is your only option.

For those of you lucky enough to be using Android the second and more permanent solution is to force the Facebook app to open all links in your usual browser by default. To do this follow these steps...

1. On your Homepage select the 3 lines on the top right to access the menu.

2. Select 'Settings & Privacy' near the bottom.

3. Next select 'Settings'.

4. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and select 'Media and Contacts'.

5. Finally switch the 'Links open externally' toggle to the on position.​

Going forward all links on Facebook will open in a proper, fully functional browser and you shouldn't have any issues.
